Established in 2016, the Hurunui District Landcare Group is an independent catchment group of over 300 North Canterbury farmers. Our team of Catchment Farm Advisors support farmers and the Hurunui farming community with environmental management guidance and resources, as they navigate an increasingly complex operating environment while protecting their land, water and native biodiversity for future generations.
The Hurunui District Landcare Group catchment farm advisors are here to support our members farming operations with expert advice and services. As the landscape of farming regulations becomes increasingly complex, our team provides guidance and tools to help our farmers navigate environmental compliance smoothly.
All our services from developing farm environment plans, Nutrient Budgets, winter grazing plans, farm mapping to assistance with NZFAP+, support for audits and assisting groups with funding, facilitation and project management are provided as part of the groups annual subscription fee with support from MPI.
